Lonjsko polje was proclaimed a nature park in 1990. With an
area of more than 50 650 hectares, it contains about 250 species of birds and
is also the largest fish hatching ground in Europe.
Only 120km away from Zagreb is the Ethno Village of Old
Lonja, in the heart of Lonjsko Polje.
Here's what the owners of the Ethno Village, Igor and Mladen
Bojanic say about the Lonjsko polje: "The Lonjsko polje is easy to love,
only you need to come and feel it, smell the flowers in the field, bathe on the
sandy beaches of the Sava River, taste the fish roasted on wooden sticks,
admire the horses in twilight and much more that can not be described in words.
Ethno Village of Old Lonja seems to be the perfect place to
relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
